Europa, photographed by Erik Gauger

Travel Photography > Europa

The westernmost peninsula of Eurasia was named after a Phoenician princess who was abducted by Zeus and taken to the island of Crete. The name 'Europa' eventually came to mean the lands north of the islands of the Meditteranean. Follow me as I travel through the continent of Europe; exploring its future, its past, its natural areas, its environmental challenges and most of all, its enchanting cuisines and cultures. You can use my Map of Europe as a reference.
