I have been a fan of Mike's website for years now, and he is one of the founding inspirations for great travel websites. His locations are amazing, and the way he captures action, people, and their accents and quirks is bar-none. Mike traveled in 2002-2003, and this site is based on that time. But I hope to see more travels from Mike.

Enric's photographic and descriptive depictions of Barcelona in Virtourist are some of the best. You get a strong sense of the city, but wait...Virtourist covers places all over the world, and some of the other depictions of cities are worthwhile too.
Adventure Journalist - This is an incredibly neat site that started out as a cross-country journal, but evolved as its talented author evolved.
PhotoEclectica - Maureen's site is rare in the sense that it is a very pure writing and photography sites. Her subjects and places are vast, and it's easy to get lost following her along the way. She writes, "Every trip out of the home, as well as the home itself, is the stage for the next interesting photograph. Every subject is potentially an interesting and aesthetically pleasing." How true.
webExpeditions.net is several good things. This is one of the few visually appealing travel-related websites on the web. It allows you to quickly get to some of the most important expeditions currently underway, as well as to learn about historical expeditions. It is truly one of those rare sites that provides thorough research and links into a subject.

It is a large site, so there are plenty of places to go. The travel reports are good, and there are some fun sidebars including an enjoyable travel humor section.
Eclecticat.com is an intelligent, and funny weblog, with a sense of style too.
